Prompt World ("we", "the game") is a free browser game. This policy explains what data we handle and why. We keep it minimal on purpose.

Information we collect

• Anonymous device ID: a random identifier stored in your browser's local storage. It lets us count plays, deduplicate votes and leaderboard entries, and remember which stages you have played. It is not linked to your name, email, or any account — there are no accounts.
• Gameplay data: when you play a published stage, we record anonymous, aggregated statistics (play count, clear count, clear times, up/down votes). Creators submit stage designs (level layouts) and, when they clear a stage, a replay of their inputs used to verify the clear.
• A display name: optional, only if you type one for the leaderboard. Choose any nickname; do not enter real personal information.

Information we do NOT collect

• No sign-up, no email, no password, no real name.
• No precise location, no contacts, no microphone or camera.

Advertising

We may show ads served by Google, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. For more information about how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before serving personalized ads.

Cookies & local storage

We use your browser's local storage for the anonymous device ID and your display name. Advertising partners may set cookies as described above. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

How we use the data

• To run the game: show stages, count plays, rank leaderboards, verify clears, and prevent abuse (e.g. rate limiting).
• To show ads and keep the game free.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Aggregated, anonymous stats (like a stage's play count and clear rate) are shown publicly in the game. Ad partners process data as described in the Advertising section.

Children

Prompt World is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Clear your browser's local storage / cookies to reset your anonymous ID and remove your display name.
• Opt out of personalized ads via the Google link above.
